FORCE Detroit
Leaders and frontline workers from FORCE Detroit call attention to the relevance of credible messengers in supporting healing and growth for violently injured individuals and discuss the critical work they are doing to address the root causes of violence – such as poverty and lack of opportunity – in Detroit communities. Funding from the Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education will support FORCE Detroit’s efforts to shift the narrative around effective public safety solutions, advocate for increased funding and support for community violence intervention (CVI) strategies and evaluate the impact of its CVI programming.
