Fatimah Loren Dreier, Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education (Part 2)

The Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education asked researchers, community leaders, and frontline violence prevention professionals, “Why is gun violence a public health issue, and why does this matter?” Their responses shine a light on the causes of gun violence, its disproportionate impact on communities of color, and the health-focused strategies that can solve this crisis.

This video features Fatimah Loren Dreier, executive director of both the Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education and the HAVI, who says, “Witnessing violence, seeing violence every day – the trauma impacts people. Our ability to address that trauma head on is critical. We're expanding beyond routine care to set people on paths towards health, healing, and thriving.”
